The general Welding Occupational Endorsement allows students to learn a variety of welding techniques. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older to be admitted or have instructor permission.

Upon completion, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate the ability to produce American Welding Society-compliant welds using Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
  2. Demonstrate the ability to set up and use SMAW, Gas Metal Arc Welding, Flux Cored Arc Welding, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, and Oxygen-Acetylene Welding processes.
  3. Apply safety protocols for workspace setup, ventilation, and Personal Protection Equipment use.
