Upon completion, students will be able to:
- Apply privacy, security, and confidentiality standards to protect patient health information in compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
- Navigate and manage electronic health record (EHR) systems to accurately enter, update, retrieve, and maintain patient data.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare documentation to ensure accuracy and clarity in electronic records.
- Support clinical and administrative workflows by organizing, verifying, and communicating patient information within healthcare settings.
- Use data management and reporting tools within EHR systems to assist with quality improvement, scheduling, billing, and regulatory compliance activities.
