Disability Services (DS) empowers, supports, and advocates for students who experience disabilities by partnering with the UAS community in the provision of equal access to all curricular and co-curricular programs, facilities, services, and activities. DS coordinates support services for UAS students who experience disabilities and provides resources for the university and community.
There are a variety of services and accommodations available to UAS students through the DS office. The DS staff work with students from Juneau, Sitka, and Ketchikan to find the most suitable academic accommodations for each individual. Examples of accommodations include but are not limited to: testing accommodations, note-taking and alternate format books.
