SPAN S102 *Beginning Spanish II

GER. A continuation of SPAN S101. Focuses on grammatical structures and vocabulary building and emphasizes listening and speaking skills.
Prerequisite: SPAN S101 or instructor permission.

SPAN S201 *Intermediate Spanish I

3 credits (3+0)
GER. A continuation of SPAN S102. Focuses on grammatical structures, vocabulary building and listening and speaking skills with a growing emphasis on reading and writing ability. Conducted in Spanish.
Prerequisite: SPAN S102 or permission.

SPAN S202 *Intermediate Spanish II

SPAN S294 Spanish Practicum

A Practicum in Spanish is a supervised practical application of a previously studied theory conducted under the supervision of a qualified professional in cooperation with a faculty member of the academic department. Course requires satisfactory completion of a minimum of four hours of supervised experience per week for each credit registered for the duration of the semester.

SPAN S318 Themes in Literature, Language, and Culture

3 credits (3+0)
Advanced exploration of literary themes in various genres, including fiction, poetry, drama and film. Conducted entirely in Spanish. The specific theme is announced in the semester course schedule. May be repeated for credit when content varies.
Prerequisite: SPAN S202 and WRTG S211 (C 2.00 or higher) and upper division standing, or instructor permission.

SPAN S394 Spanish Practicum
