Western Undergraduate Exchange
Beginning Fall 2026, all students taking undergraduate classes at UAS will receive in-state tuition, regardless of residency, through the Alaska Unlocked initiative.
Alaska is one of 15 participating western states in the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) program. The following participate in WUE: American Samoa, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Northern Mariana Islands, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. Residents of the 14 states and three territories listed above pay in-state tuition for all undergraduate classes.
